Chester and Pumpkin (aka Pouncer) were born April 1, 2010 and rescued with 4 other siblings, Shongaloo, Jigsaw, Frisco and Stanley. It was a very long journey for all of the kids as they were rescued later than baby kittens. They were close to 8 weeks old. Their brother Stanley passed away with FIP in March of 2011. His brother Frisco and he were staying in a foster home during that time. Frisco came back to the rescue then and it was so sweet the way that Chester and Pumpkin welcomed his return. Chester spent over an hour just grooming him as he said hello. They enjoyed their time together until Frisco found his new forever home on April 18, 2011. Chester and Pumpkin were adopted and went home with their great new kitty mom and dad on May 20th, 2011. Boy were they living the life there and had so much fun together and with their new family. We are not really sure what took Chester but we said goodbye to him in July of 2013. It could have been FIP or possibly cancer. We are so sad and his family and Pumpkin will miss him very much. We have taken lots of pictures and video as the sibs have all grown up and would like to present it to you now in memory of a very special kitty who we all loved very much.

Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of Heaven is a place called the Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here,
that animal goes to the Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor: those that were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again,
just as we remembered them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day will come when one will suddenly stop and look into the distance.
His bright eyes will be intent, his eager body will quiver.
Suddenly he will begin to break away from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
YOU have been spotted, and when you and your friend finally meet,
you will cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.
The happy kisses will rain upon your face; your hands will again caress his beloved head and you will look once more into him trusting eyes,
so long gone from your life, but never absent from your heart. Then you will cross the Rainbow Bridge together.

For you Chester and for Pumpkin and your kitty mommy and daddy.

Our Chester

Meet Chester & Pumpkin
What a pair!
They looked to each other for comfort and care
They loved to snuggle and play with the toys
to jump & run and giggle with noise!

Chester & Pumpkin
were siblings you see
Brother and Sister much like you and me!
They became a family with Lettie and Tom
were spoiled with love and affection
and
had special places to sit and be calm.

We will never forget what had been?
Even though Chester left when so young?
Leaving Lettie and Tom and Pumpkin
sailing away like we sang in the song..

Now Chester, our little man
we love you
and look forward again to a time
when we all can be together
to snuggle and play and clilmb.
