Spay & Neuter Assistance and Low Cost Vaccination Assistance

Spay/Neuter Assistance

If you need to get your cat spayed or neutered, you can call the Animal Control for the county in which you live and request domestic vouchers (for domestic cats/kittens) or feral vouchers (for feral cats/kittens) to help cover some of the costs of the procedure. For San Mateo County, the telephone number is: 650-573-3940

Peninsula Humane Society Spay/Neuter Clinic:

Appointments are necessary. Animals are admitted between 7 and 8:30 am and discharged between 4 and 5:30 pm.
Clinic hours are Monday-Friday from 7am-12 noon, closed between 12 noon and 1pm, then reopen from 1pm-6pm.

To make an appointment, call 650/340-7015.

Peninsula Humane Society Mobile Spay/Neuter Clinic:
PHS offers this mobile spay/neuter clinic and takes this “surgery suite on wheels” to targeted neighborhoods on the Peninsula (including San Francisco) offering free spay/neuter surgeries. It is the only such program of its kind in the Bay Area and has enabled families and pet owners with limited financial means to fix their pets, eliminating the possibility of accidental litters which become a community problem and add to PHS/SPCA’s challenge of addressing companion animal overpopulation.
For a current schedule of mobile clinic locations and dates, please call 650/340-7022, ext. 387

The FVRCP vaccine is incredibly important to maintain your kitten's healthy life (for more information about this vaccine, please see your adoption packet). Because we realize how expensive getting a new pet is, we suggest you consider taking your kitten(s) to a VIP Pet-Care mobile, low-cost vaccination clinic to save safely!

Pet stores in the Bay Area offer low-cost pet vaccinations every weekend or every other weekend during a specific time period. Check the VIP Pet Care services website for participating pet stores in your area: http://www.happypet.com/

*FVRCP vaccine at these clinics costs $15 and no appointments!*

These clinics offer vaccine packages which include multiple vaccinations. DO NOT DO THIS, SOME OF THESE VACCINES HAVE BEEN FOUND EXTREMELY HARMFUL TO CATS AND NOT REQUIRED IN SOME CITIES.
